SIP replacement analogue speedometers are now available for the following Vespa models 125 GT/150 VBA/GL/GS, Sprint/160 GS/180 SS. Made for SIP by a renowned vehicle instrument manufacturer they are said to have a very accurate measuring mechanism making them “Decidedly precise, even following intensive use.”
Vintage look – modern precision

The shell-shaped speedos have a vintage style fascia in a choice of either black or white, with vintage style lettering and warm white backlighting. Obviously, SIP can’t legally use the Vespa logo so these may not suit the ‘nut and bolt’ restoration type but they also sell original Piaggio speedos if authenticity is important. The SIP instruments read up to 120 kmh (74.5mph) which should allow riders of tuned older scooters to be able to see how fast they’re going, rather than relying on well-worn old speedometers. It’s always a good idea to change both your speedo drive and cable though when swapping to a new speedo. They’re available from SIP priced at £64.28.
