Next month (September 11th) sees the return of the British Scooter Endurance Club to Teesside in what promises to be the biggest BSEC event so far. With more teams on track, spectators welcome and live race coverage it should be huge!
If you’ve been following our endurance coverage since 2019 you’ll know just how much fun (and action) this type of scooter racing really is.
Live sponsors
At the last round at Whilton Mill in April, SLUK, along with our friends at ScooterNova Magazine and AME Auto sponsored live coverage of the event (see the video above) in what was a first for the sport. It gave viewers at home a chance to watch the full six hours of action along with interviews and pitlane dramas as it unfolded. The coverage really is fantastic but the special introductory cost for Alpha to film and broadcast the event has now gone back to pre-Covid levels (very expensive). The three sponsors from Whilton will be dipping into our pockets again but some extra fundraising is still needed.
Luckily help is at hand, one of the race teams, IDK, have started a Just Giving page to help raise some of the cash needed to get the cameras there again. If everybody contributes just a few quid we should smash the target and ensure the race is broadcast live around the world.
How to donate
Donating is quick and easy using this Just Giving link so please get involved and help to spread the word.
