Swindon’s In Crowd SC to organise yet another great back-to-the-roots event in Wilshire.
2016 BC. Savage tribes come together again to celebrate in the Vale of the White Horse. While the deeper meaning of these gatherings is unknown it seems certain that people got off their heads and had a great jollyfication.
For the fourth time the organisers held their rally in the village of Pewsey near Marlborough. Situated on a field behind a pub and offering camping-only is certainly not everybody’s cup of tea, but it is precisely this allure that attracts ardent scooterists, many of whom became regulars. In fact, it has become so popular that it’s even too crowded for the In Crowds so they decided to have a break for 2017 in order to regain its familiar charm.
A bar inside the marquee, live bands and DJs playing a rather unconventional mix of party music catered for very memorable nights, especially on the Saturday when people had dressed up. The Saturday daytime saw a good turnout of customs scoots and trade stalls. Also those who returned early enough from the pub crawl could enjoy brilliant entertainment of a different kind. A six foot ten tall drag queen had the whole site in stitches…
Over the past four years the Swindon lot have been able to raise more than £13,000 for local charity. Well done guys & gals and hope to see you all again in 2018!
