The brand-new, vintage-inspired Hero Waterproof boot from the TCX 24/7 Lifestyle collection is now available in UK dealers.
We can vouch for TCX as a brand, we’ve been using their boots for years and they really do exactly what it says on the tin. These new vintage style Hero WP boots come CE-certified to EN 13634:2015 regulations. They’re made from full grain leather and have a waterproof lining.
Closure is via traditional laces to the front and a side zip covered and protected by a Velcro band. Aside from a waterproof liner and great looking exterior they also have a deep tread on the soles to give good grip.
The Hero boots are also built for comfort with a padded upper collar and ankle, plus they have reinforcement to the toe, heel and ankle. The boot also features the TCX ‘Comfort Fit System’, developed as a result of years of TCX know-how. The system allows the boot to be shaped on a mould to replicate the anatomy of the foot, it’s predominantly completed by hand and ensures that the product is exceptionally comfortable and ideal for prolonged use in a number of situations – echoing the 24/7 mentality of the range.

Nice. Always so bloody expensive these things though 🙁
A pair of workman’s dealer boots for £25 or a pair of side zip tactical boots for £35 would do the job for most scooterists, as there are no footgears that require the little reinforcement on the dorsal part of the boot.
Now if I was sent a pair free to review…that would be different 😉
