I’ve worn this kit all over the UK and abroad in some nasty extremes of both heat and cold. The RST Adventure Series is a multi function, all-season combo so it’s great if you can only afford one decent set of textiles and need to use them all year round. RST are a British company, with bike riding British designers who know what kinds of miserable conditions we have to ride in so it should work in all-weathers.
Water sports
I’ve been wearing it for a few years now and I can confirm it is up to the job and the only time I got wet was on my way to Kelso in the rain when I’d inadvertently left the waterproof liners at home. That’s a mistake I only made once, 250 miles with soggy nether regions were a good reminder not to do it again. The kit is great in hotter weather as well; thanks to mesh zip off ventilation panels on the front and full-length zipped sleeve and leg mesh vents. It also comes with a level 1 Contour plus back protector and CE armour to shoulders, elbows and knees. Other features include a zip off map pocket that can be used as a bum bag, there’s even space for a water bladder if you’re on a mission and may need on the road refreshments. The jacket has various pockets, inside and out and it’s never leaked yet. The RST Adventure is made from hardwearing Cordura 500d and Ballistic 1660, with double stitched bonded seams, it also has a removable quilted lining and Sinaqua waterproof breathable membrane.

The Pro Series 11 Adventure has been on a fair few wet weather scooter adventures and mid winter long distance rides. It’s perfectly waterproof, warm and comfortable. The jacket is a bit heavy and bulky but you expect that from an all-year round armoured textile. Price wise it’s not overly expensive, the jacket costs £249.99 and the trousers are £199.99 and it’s available in either black or silver/black.
