We all love a bit of nostalgia and for many of us the Doncaster Custom Shows in the 1980s/early 1990s was one of the events we all looked forward to. It was different from most other shows because it not only had a fine selection of custom scooters but it also had custom cars, from hot rods to VW’s, custom bikes to drag racers and everything in between. It was an eclectic mixture of petrol powered heaven. At the time us scooter riders were still outcasts, society hated us, the establishment hated us, even our mums hated us but here we were welcomed into a world of custom heaven.
Well, next weekend you can relive those formative years at the Goodthing80’s Show 2 at Doncaster Racecourse. Psychoslacker (of pinstriping fame) has secured an area within the massive VW show for 10 custom scooters, plus an outdoor ridden display area so you can turn up on the day if you’ve got something special you want to show, or show off on.
