Scooter manufacturer, Scomadi Worldwide Ltd in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Groups leading merchandise and brand management company are collaborating with The Who to create a limited-edition range of uniquely themed scooters. Together with band members, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, they’ll be using the new Scomadi Turismo Technica as the basis for the scooters (no details on styling are available yet).
The Turismo Technica
Frank Sanderson, co-founder of Scomadi said, “It is a huge honour for Scomadi and an acknowledgement of our high quality of design and styling to be asked to produce our scooters in association with The Who – one of the 20th century’s most influential rock bands who are iconic in the scooter scene”.
“Bravado are proud to have worked on this partnership between Scomadi and The Who. The scooter has long been a symbol of the mod scene and British culture – something immortalised by The Who’s album ‘Quadrophenia’, so it’s very special to see its significance embodied in our collaboration together” added David Boyne, Managing Director.
More details (and prices) will follow but the scooters are expected to be available in autumn 2018.

I feel these models will be a bit more creative than the ridiculous “Yacht Club” effort by Piaggio who display the scooters in shows with lovely striped seats (a feature worthy of the name Yacht Club) yet all the customer gets in actuality is the usual stick on stripes. Pathetic marketing nonsense!
Another thing that grinds my gears is people putting Union/St. George Cross Flags on RAs! They clearly are either idiots and are unaware of Chinese state sponsored industrial foul play across many areas of manufacturing. The idiots that buy these and adorn them with our country’s colours sell this nation out for a few hundred quid. Shame on them!
If you don’t spend the extra on adorning the RA with Comedy Mod accessories you could afford a Scomadi and support the British innovators of retro auto scooters rather than The People’s Republic of China, which incidentally just executed 2 drug dealers in front of 300 primary school kids as a lesson! Shame on them.
