Last weekend around 1000 scooterists braved unpleasant weather to attend SIP’s 25th-anniversary open day. The Landsberg based shop opened their doors to visitors from across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy and the UK.
25th anniversary specials
Aside from seeing the latest goodies from the shop, visitors could watch a stunt show, have their scooter’s power measured on the dyno, and scoff fresh pizza cooked in the Siperia’s wood-fired oven whilst listening to sounds from the DJ. Highlight of the show for many though would have been the unveiling of SIP’s latest custom project, a 25th anniversary BFA 306 powered stretched metalflake Vespa PX and a trick metal flake GTS. If you missed this event and want to see what all the hype is about, put the 2020 SIP open day in your diary. It’s booked in for May the 9th 2020 and you can find out more here.
Sip will also be hosting the second Tacho Karcho outside their shop on July 27th this year. Think 1/4 mile German scooter sprinting madness and high-octane exotica. Perfect for a German weekend break. Keep your eye on the SIP blog for more details.
