We’ve recently been sent these high quality parts from 21st Century Lambretta. The Series 2 air scoop is made from very lightweight and high quality pre-pregnated carbon fibre, (the production versions have been revised slightly for better air-flow) it’s actually six times lighter than the original item. It weighs in at just 14 grammes and is much lighter than the bolts it comes with, it costs £35.50. Pre-preg carbon is used in both F1 and the Aerospace industry so it should be able to cope with an old Lambretta. A series 3 scoop is also available.
John Williams has over 30-years experience in the industry and has used his skills to start making scooter parts, his other parts include the brushed aluminium Series 1/2 light switch cover, again the quality is fantastic. They cost £26 including postage. He also sent us a Lambretta tie-rod with carbon inlay, this item costs £22 and is water jet cut and polished. At the minute John is also doing inner mudguards, cdi covers, toolbox doors, sat nav mounts and quite a few nice bits and pieces. There’s likely to be more to come in annodised billet alloy, pre-preg carbon and stainless. We’ll keep you posted once 21st Century Lambretta are up and running properly.
