Motorcycle and scooter insurer Carole Nash has agreed a deal with Ageas Retail to acquire its motorcycle insurance books that will become effective from 1 June 2016.

Ageas Retail insurance brands Express, Kwik Fit Insurance and Green Insurance Company will transfer to Carole Nash from that date, resulting in the Manchester-based company taking on approximately 20,000 new policies.

If your scooter is insured with one of these brands then the policy will now be managed by the existing Carole Nash team but will apparently remain under the Express Insurance Services brand name for the time being at least, to make things easier for existing customers.

While Ageas have apparently off-loaded their motorcycle books to concentrate on their ‘core brands and markets’, this means that their approximate 1% of the UK motorcycle insurance business will bolster Carole Nash’s 25% of the same market even further (source www.insurancetimes.co.uk).
