If you’re scared of heights don’t watch the video above!

In his latest Guinness World Record, 43-year-old Günter Schachermayr sat on the top of one of the largest passenger cable car gondolas in the world and took a ride to the top of The Dachstein – at a height of 1530 metres!. The stunt was performed on Saturday 18th September at 07:45. With his Vespa secured to the carriage roof on a wooden platform, the stunt may appear fairly tame (unless you don’t like heights) but one gust of wind could have cost Günter his life.

Crazy stunts

The madcap Austrian has done more to promote Vespa scooters around the world through his crazy stunts than anybody else in the last 75 years. Günter is still working his way up the stunt ladder as he prepares to ride to the troposphere for Mission Tropex, his most ambitious, dangerous and original stunt ever where he’ll ride 4,000 vertical feet up a steel cable held beneath a helicopter!
