If you’re the owner of one of the finest Driver screens ever made you may be happy to know that we’re now making tinted screen covers for them.
The covers are made from tough laser cut and polished plastic. They fit both SLUK PX and GTS Driver screens (they may well fit original 80s Drivers as well but we haven’t tried one yet), they come in the same mid tint as the top screen and are simple to fit. We’ll also be doing one for the T5 screens soon.
We’ll be supplying these with black screws, the correct-sized drill bit and a couple of extra nylon spacers for if you want to space the cover further away from your screen.
Earlier GTS owners should take great care if using one of these, the headlights are prone to melting if you let a GTS tickover for too long, fitting one of these will increase heat build-up. We have left a small air gap under the cover so air will circulate whilst riding and the additional spacers will provide extra airflow if you need it.
GTS HPE owners have LED headlights so shouldn’t be affected.
We also advise you to check you’re happy with the headlight brightness through the screen cover before riding.
Fitting kit
The screen covers come pre-drilled and include three black screws plus the correct-sized drill bit.
They’re simple to fit, just position the screen cover over your screen then either drill through the holes or mark through them and drill. Then affix using the self tappers and (if you need them the nylon spacers) in-between screen and cover.
