Rimini Lambretta Centre have a new product out in the form of a new 5-speed handlebar gearchange for Indian GP ‘flared’ headsets. These have the same numbered font as the originals, but like the Spinal Tap amplifiers, these go up one number higher.
These wide-type GP bar ends retail for 65 Euros and are produced exclusively for RLC. You can find them here.
New Cyclone S4 5-speed gearbox
RLC are now on batch 8 of their Cyclone 5 Lambretta gearbox, but this is effectively a completely new product manufactured for them by their third Italian engineering firm.
This new batch – marked S4 – builds on experience obtained with earlier versions to produce their strongest version yet. This is the same gearbox currently being run in the SSR250 demo scooters and which was also used on the track at EuroLambretta in Adria.
The new gearbox features:
- A special drill-hole through the cluster aimed at improving lubrication of the gear cluster needle bearing.
- A new surface treatment providing a chrome-like finish guaranteed to impress any tiny Mods who may live inside your engine case.
- Completely revised tooth profiles aimed at both maximising strength and minimising back-lash noise.
The revised tooth profiles mean that this latest ‘S4’ version is completely unique and despite having the same tooth numbers, no parts are interchangeable with earlier Cyclone gearboxes.
The S4 Cyclone is available here priced at 995 euros (£878).
