Well, what a year 2020 has been so far. This year was supposed to be the Solent Cougars 20th Anniversary Weekender and potentially our last. So when we were hit with a pandemic the decision was made to cancel the event. We didn’t see how a load of drunken scooterists would be able to social distance. When the SIR (Scooterist Internet Radio) DJs approached us to hold a virtual rally, it seemed like a good idea.
Virtual fun
With lockdown easing, the plan was to have little gatherings in gardens, with a few people and then interacting on the virtual rally page. Participants included a selection from Germany, Spain, Singapore and America. These parties kicked off with the traditional ladies cocktail party. We’ve got a few of these stay-at-home party people uploading their photos to this page over the next few days.
We will be back next year for our 21st Anniversary weekender (pandemic permitting). Hope to see you there.
