After 18 months of designing, road testing and racing, Casa Performance has just released the eagerly anticipated, X240 CasaCover and it will be available for all Lambretta riders. Order now through your local Casa agent.
CasaCover is compatible with not only the bespoke CasaCase but also with any Italian/Spanish or Indian Lambretta engine casing. It can also be used with the GT casings and retains the original height and position for the exhaust mounting points, meaning it’s compatible with all existing Lambretta exhausts.
Three colour options
The new cover comes in three options, X240 Complete CasaCover with blue anodised parts, X240n with black anodised parts, or X240s with silver anodised parts. A complete CasaCover will set you back €575 (£517 inc VAT) but aside from looking good, the Italian made cover has lots of advantages over a standard side casing.
Advantages
- It has an engine inspection panel which gives easy access to the chain guide and front sprocket – without the need to remove the sidecasing.
- The crank can be removed without taking off the side casing
- All Lambretta clutches can be used, standard, uprated, race or Casa PowerMaster with cushdrive
- Clutch action is said to be unbelievably light, even when using monster clutches
- On most clutches it’s possible to remove the cable trunnion from the operating arm by hand

looks a nice bit of kit be nice to see what the average cost of standard components works out to be in comparison
does this side case affect exhaust mounting points? eg will current after market expansions an box pipes fit ?
also does the Kickstart lever sit further out to the right with this side case just thinking of grounding issues on right handers
still its nice to have such choice in the market place not sure about the BMX /streetfighter style anodising theme of these parts tho.would nice to see a “classic “performance range something more in keeping with the many of us who have widebody lambrettas as not everyones got a GP street style bike.
oops need me reading glasses see its good with existing pipes …. nurse !!!
