The first weekend in July sees a welcome return for the Shed rally after a two year break. It’s going to be a fun-packed weekend with plenty of live entertainment, all at a new venue in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Applications for £20 weekend tickets close this Sunday (26th June), after that it’ll cost £25 for the weekend if you pay on the gate – or £5 for a day ticket on Saturday (valid until 5pm), or £15 if you want to stay the night.
Shed attractions
If you’ve never been to a Shed rally before expect some unusual attractions, like the infamous Shed Babes for instance, they’ll wash your scooter for you and get the men in a lather. There’s also Shed Factor (a battle of the bands style competition). Live music is also one of the main ingredients, this year sees The Kar-pets headlining (Tom Hingley, Inspiral Carpets), as well as rally favourites, Basketcase, The Corsairs and The Automatics. The Burton Brewers will be looking after the fun & games.
Gibbo also has something up his sleeve for Saturday night, he says “Saturday is going to be a bit special at 11.30pm…”

Gibbo has kindly given us a pair of weekend tickets to give away in our free to enter competition. To enter we want to see what’s inside your shed (or garage). Don’t worry, we won’t say where your collection/pile of scrap/ratty scooter or museum is. We just want to show what lurks in the back gardens of the world. You’ve got until 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th to enter, we’ll pick a winner after that from the best/most inventive/most unusual photo we receive. Everybody likes to show off so let’s see what you’ve got…
