We all need something to look forward to and what’s not to like about an all-inclusive scooter event held at a holiday resort in Europe? That’s right, Wangerland is 100% confirmed for August 19th-22nd.
The event is put on by Spirit of ’84 scooterists, Marcus and Mareike. They’re the people behind Scooterist Meltdown and they know how to throw a party. It’s hardly surprising that Wangerland is being dubbed ‘The summer Meltdown’ because it’ll run to a very similar format, albeit with a summer holiday vibe.
Getting there
Wangerland is situated on the German North Sea Coast, close to the Dutch border so the closest UK route is Hull-Rotterdam if you’re riding there. Or you can fly into Bremen with Ryan Air and hire a car or catch a shuttle bus.
All-inclusive
Once you get there EVERYTHING is included in the price including beach cocktails, all your food, beer, snacks, drinks and activities.
Activities include: Bowling, pool tables, gym, pedal boats, paddle boarding, various inflatables and of course the lakeside beach.
Scooterist vibes
Of course, this isn’t just a holiday! There’s also a full programme of scooterist events on over the weekend, with guest DJs from the UK and Europe keeping two rooms of music banging until 3 am, then there’s a custom show, fun & games and a ride out to local attractions if you’re not too hungover from all that free beer!
Rooms still available
Wangerland was due to be on in August 2020 and sold out very quickly but Covid put a stop to it. Most of the bookings were carried over to this year but a few rooms have become available.
It costs 299 Euros per person Friday to Sunday, or €399 if you want to stop an extra day.
