Now into its second year at their new home at Sandown, the rally is back with a bang for 2022 with everything from glamping pods to live bands, DJ’s, a soul room, silent disco, a huge international custom show and of course all your favourite rally traders. There’s also a regular bus service into Sandown and Ryde so you can get around the island easily enough if you’re frequenting the local bars. Sunday is the day for the eagerly awaited ride out so if you want to feel like a film star for the day get your scooter there and show off to the hordes of tourists who line the streets to take your photo.
Win a pair of weekend passes
The Isle of Wight isn’t the cheapest of rally weekends but if you want to try and save yourself £30 per ticket you can enter our competition and maybe win a ticket for you and a friend. The weekend passes include camping, entertainment and the custom show/trade show at the official VFM site at Sandown Airport.
People travel from far and wide to get to the island. To enter the competition, simply comment on this post and let us know where you’re coming from and what you’re riding to get there. We’ll let VFM choose a winner on Monday 15th August.
If you’re not feeling lucky but want to save a few quid by buying your tickets in advance you can get yours here. Advance tickets are on sale until this coming Sunday 14th August, they cost £30 each.

Hello my name’s terry vine and I’ve been attending the IOW rally for the past 15 years with only one year being missed due to my dad passing. I have met some of the most amazing friends over the years on the island and the most part it’s because of the consistent efforts of the VFM and their crew. I am riding my GP200 from March town in Cambridgeshire on the Thursday. I usually ride my lambretta chopper (fen girl) but due to a crash I had back in April I’ve been having to ride my dirty secret . The build up to the rally has never faulted because you know it’s gonna be memorable. The change of venue must have been a huge challenge but It was bang on and it’s only gonna get better. Best national of the year can’t wait to get to the ferry smiling all the way

My first time returning to the IOW rally since the early 1980s. This time I’ll be on a bog standard, unmolested Smallframe Primavera 125 and venturing from beautiful North Norfolk. If I don’t win the competition, can we at least have sunny weather!
