Sadly the sight of a box-fresh two-stroke geared scooter is almost as dead as the dodo.

 

Killed off by meddling politicians (see PX Oracle here) our beloved Vespa PX is no more.

 

The 200cc PX was killed off in 2003, followed by the PX125 in 2008. Thankfully Piaggio saw the error of their ways on that occasion and brought the 125 and 150cc PX back in 2011.

As with all two strokes, the PX has been fighting a losing battle and the implementation of Euro 4 on January 1st means the only new PX’s you can buy now are the stock left over in dealers’ showrooms.

 

Midland Scooter Centre have a few new PX125s (including 70th Anniversary) and one PX150 in stock. They also have a few Euro 3 GTS 125 and 300 models available. Be quick though. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
