GITA
Meet GITA, that’s the blue ball of fun pictured above, both her and her bigger brother KILO (pictured below) were announced by Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) on February 3rd in Boston Massachusetts USA.
What is GITA?
GITA is an autonomous vehicle with a carrying capacity of 18kg’s, it can follow you home (or round the shops), it can move independently, observe and communicate ‘Yes love your bum does look big in that’. It can move at up to 35km/h and move independently within a mapped area. According to PFF “The spherical shape and clean design characterise its personality”.
KILO
This is GITA’s bigger brother, KILO sits on three wheels so is very stable and can carry up to 120kg’s within its 100 litre storage compartment. Kilo would make an ideal postal delivery trolley and could be used for lots of different tasks.
Roberto Colaninno, Chairman and CEO of the Piaggio Group, declared, “The Piaggio Group, through the creation of PFF, looks again to the future, to young people, to the future generations, and doesn’t want to merely be ready to face the challenges of this increasingly complex mobility scenario, but wants to be leading agent of this change. In the present era of machine intelligence, autonomy, and interconnectedness, PFF seeks to promote more vibrant cities filled with pedestrians, cyclists, and skaters whose mobility is enhanced by new varieties of smart vehicles. PFF is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
