Thanks to everybody who entered, voted for or shared the 1980s competition. The competition ended last night and our winners were decided by you the public. The photo with the highest votes wins a Weise Air Spin jacket and trousers, plus a SLUK T-shirt and one of our gel stickers. The two runners-up get the SLUK goodies.
The winners
Our runaway winner was a particularly blurry photo sent in by Boggobomber depicting a very typical 1980s scooter rally campsite, with a policeman happily riding pillion behind the helmetless Vespa rider. It’s the kind of harmless fun and good humour you just aren’t allowed to get up to anymore in these days of political correctness, blame culture and nanny state. Not to mention the fact you’re hard pressed to find a Bobby when you need one thanks to government cutbacks. Anyway well done to Boggobomber, you blitzed the competition with 201 votes.
Runners-up
Second place went to Innocenti 225 with 86 votes for his Great Yarmouth photo, third went to Warren for his typical roadside breakdown, he scored 35 votes.
