What’s the history?

Astonishingly, the scooters, parts and paraphernalia are all from a private collection owned by a former Austrian Lambretta Concessionaire who built a house, especially for the scooters. A spokeman for the auction house told us “The history of the collection is that a former teacher made friends with the former Austrian Lambretta concessionaire; Heinrich Scherak. They wanted to start a museum together, and after Mr. Scherak had died the teacher not only continued to collect himself, but also took over Mr Scherak’s spare parts storage. That’s why there are so many NOS parts”.

Now that the teacher has passed we are offering the whole collection from his estate at no reserve.”
