Our birthday On The Road photo competition was a huge success with 77 entries, hundreds of social media shares and over 3,200 votes.

The competition turned into a real international fight between USA, Britain and Belgium, but the results are heart-warming.
First prize goes to Bev – a Yorkshire scootergirl living in New York – for what is a cracking photo. Rather than asking Norrie from VE-UK to send his first prize of a pair of Michelin tyres to the USA (which would have cost more in postage than they were worth), Bev has kindly donated them to a charity scooter event in Yorkshire.

Second prize in our hotly-fought competition came from Garagista Sean Robinson (featured here) for this On The Road shot of “and now for something completely different”.
Like Bev, Sean whipped up lots of social media support and he too is donating his prize of 6-litres of Silkolene oil to be used as raffle prizes at the Garagista Gathering.

Third prize goes to Knifeman for his photo of scooters parked under the mysterious stairs in the Kabouterbos forest, Belgium.

Last but not least, Jurgen appears to have picked up some debris from the road that is jamming his front wheel.

We also chose one image we though suited our On The Road theme perfectly, and we will be sending a T-shirt to 19-year-old, wheelie popping Ryan Evans if he’d like to get in touch.
