More new Lambretta cranks have just arrived on the market and this time it’s the turn of Casa Lambretta who have released 3 European-made cranks for various models – and they are not just for your ‘usual’ models either. Vittorio Tessera has been working closely with major crankshaft manufacturers Jasil, to fill the void left after the premature closure of the Tameni company who supplied the lion’s share of after-market cranks. Using original Innocenti blue-prints to work from, Casa Lambretta intend to produce the complete range of cranks for every single production Lambretta model.
X46 – Lambretta LD
The first cranks to be launched are Item ‘X46’ which is for all late production 1955-‘58 Lambretta LD125 & 150 models that have a 16mm gudgeon (wrist) pin. The cost for these is €200.00 each. They have been unavailable for a long time and are a real godsend for owners of these shaft driven models. You can buy them here.
X51 – LI/SX Serveta
Next up are cranks for 125/150/200cc LI-SX-Special-Serveta models. The code is ‘X51’ and the price is €175 each. Lastly, Casa have made the cranks for GP-DL200 models. The code is ‘X53’ and the price is € 180 each.
The beauty of the Casa cranks is that they have been ‘rolled’ where the oilseals run, rendering them both harder in that specific area and super-shiny in appearance, thus offering absolute minimal surface friction for the seals. These are good quality, budget-priced cranks for original or mildly tuned engines, manufactured as Innocenti intended.
Lui and Starstream
Cranks for the following Lambretta models; 125/150 GP-DL, D-LD125/150 with 14mm gudgeon pin, J-Lui 50cc and J125 Starstream are soon to be released. The cranks can be obtained HERE from Rimini Lambretta Centre, or soon from other Casa Lambretta dealers Worldwide.
