If the number of entrants for this competition are anything to go by it looks like the new 200cc Uni Lambretta engine casings are going to be very popular. We had over 300 entries for this one, a record for a ScooterLab competition.
Picking a winner has been hard, we’ve had sob stories, humour, limericks and pure desperation sent in as the tiebreaker. I’m sorry if your story of despair didn’t warm the stone-like heart of our official adjudicator. He’s heard them all before but there can be only one winner…
The winner is?
In the end we let Manish, the man at Uni pick his favourite and he picked this little rhyme from Nudger. It had some thought put into it and tickled our Indian friend’s sense of humour.
Your prize will be shipped out as soon as the stock begins to arrive Nudger (hopefully mid-January).
The runners-up
Seeing as it’s New Year’s Eve and we’re feeling a bit soft we’ve decided to give two runners-up prizes as well.
Scotty was in the top three and we almost fell for the ‘regular race reports for SLUK’ aspect of his entry but decided we’d like to see the casings being used on the road. What we will do though is give you a SLUK screen to use on one of the race bikes so get in touch Scotty.
Nick’s tale of woe was almost enough to get him the top prize and if Manish hadn’t picked Nudger’s entry this one would have been my own personal choice. We’ll let you pick something from the SLUK Plastics range for your Lambretta though Nick.
Political correctness?
Thanks to Andrew Pitchford, or Pitchie as many of you will know him, for one of the most politically incorrect entries, good effort. We’re quite happy to promote political incorrectness at SLUK, we’re offended if you’re not offended.
Pitchie is actually a fully-qualified dribbler, having partially recovered from a few strokes in 2017. Unable to return to his previous job he’s recently started his own home-based record business. If you want to help a “Fat spaz” out have a look at Talk of the Grapevinyl where you can buy vinyl, Pitchie will also try and source records for you.
Unfortunately Andrew you still never win anything…
New products always in development…
Well done Nick, it was a story of woe
Well done to all of the winners, well deserved! Big thanks to sluk as well, what a great competition!
A massive ‘whoohoo’ and thanks to SLUK and the folks at Uni. What a way to start the New year…
