SIP Scootershop have donated a substantial sum of money to Medicins Sans Frontieres today to help with the crisis in Ukraine. The photos come from Ukrainian SIP customer Aleks Valter and were taken in Kiev today and yesterday. We wish Aleks and the scooter community of Ukraine our sympathy and support.

Ralf from SIP said “Terrible news is reaching us all from Kiev and other places in Ukraine. We have many customers and friends in Ukraine and are in constant contact with some of them from Vespa Club Ukraine. The Vespa fans are currently in the centre of Kiev, Aleksander writes this morning: “Night was hard, maybe hardest of all past. But we still stand strong. I give service to my scooter, after the service, will go to the volunteer headquarters to start delivering food for civilians.”

Ralf continued “The courage of the Ukrainians these days is impressing people all over the world.
We as a company, SIP Scootershop, have donated € 3,000 to ‘Medicins sans Frontieres’ today. This aid organisation is on the spot, everywhere in Ukraine but also, for example, on the Polish border. We hope to be able to provide at least a little help in our helplessness.

I’m sure the scootering family around the world have been appalled and upset to see the images coming from Ukraine. From ScooterLab we’d like to wish anybody who is being affected by this needless war our very best wishes for a quick resolution. And wish you all keep yourselves and your families safe.
We’d also like to extend our sympathy to the good people of Russia who are having their nationality tarnished by Putin’s senseless ego trip. I’m sure the majority of Russians are as dismayed as the rest of the world. Hopefully, things will come to an end before too many more lives are lost. Scooter riding is what we’re here for.
