The Piaggio Group are set to enter the Aprilia brand into India, the world’s largest scooter market, in the next few days. India consumed five million vehicles in 2015 and showed a 20% growth in the first half of this year.
A 150cc version of the Aprilia SR Motard – the SR 150 is the first Aprilia set to hit Indian roads. The scooter will be built in Piaggio’s Maharashtra factory in India and will be launched later this month. The SR 150 has 14″ wheels, sporty styling and a 4-stroke, single cylinder engine.
