It’s all change at Rimini Lambretta Centre as Dean Orton retires from the business. Dean officially left the business just before Christmas, handing over the reins to Micky Carlini, Marco Pennesi and relative new boy, Gegio Degli Innocenti – a well known Italian scooterboy and the man behind online magazine Scooterismo.
Dean set up Rimini Lambretta Centre in the 1990s after moving to Italy in 1992. The shop has had a meteoric rise since then, becoming a mecca for Lambretta fans around the world. It’s been well known for its outstanding restorations and the sourcing of rare accessories. In more recent years it’s become the home of Casa Performance, the people behind the stunning Casa 265 engines and many other performance parts for Lambrettas.
Micky and Marco are more than capable of continuing their Casa Performance development and restoration work, building on the success of both RLC and Casa Performance, whilst Gegio will be fronting the business. Gegio is a likeable chap, his English is also good so don’t be afraid to give him a call. It’s business as usual at the shop and the lads are currently building the long-awaited SLUK project scooter.
Dean will be taking time out to travel by scooter, build some long-overdue projects, translate a few English books into Italian and escape from the pressures and manic workload he’s been dealing with for the last quarter of a century. We wish both Dean and all the folks at Rimini Lambretta every success and we’ll look forward to seeing them soon.

So has Dean sold his interest in the business or is he allowing others to manage it ? while retaining a stake/ownership ?
Im 52 so don’t blame him for taking things a bit easier , i have to deal with pain in the butt customers mostly in yachts, but whining scooterists thats a differnt level of pain entirely ,you must have needed the patience of mother theresa !!!!
