NEW VENUE

Following hot on the heels of Big 7 and Cleethorpes we’ve got some more positivity for the summer! VFM have released their earlybird tickets and entertainment details for this year’s Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally.

The August Bank Holiday mammoth event has moved to a new location on the other side of the island, which will give a whole new feel to the rally. With new pubs, bars and posing spots to explore it’ll bring some much-needed excitement and mystery back to the Wight island. You can even book glamping spots if you fancy a bit of pre-erected luxury after a dismal 12-months or so away from normality. Go on, treat yourself…

King Salami & The Team

Full details are on the flyer above but expect great entertainment on the airfield campsite from Angelo Starr and The Team, plus highly-acclaimed musical maestros, King Salami & the Cumberland 3 (as well as others over the weekend). The resident VFM DJ’s have (probably) spent lockdown honing their skills on the wheels of steel. Simultaneously mixing fancy cocktails behind the decks whilst scratching their latest vinyl purchase is now perfected to an art form.

Obviously, all events are subject to Government guidance and there may be some hoops to jump through (depending on the science/advice). You can rest assured that if this event can be allowed to happen the organisers will do all they can to make it run as smoothly as possible so get booking now…

Press release from VFM

Here’s the GOOD NEWS you’ve all been waiting for…

VFM* are delighted to announce that this year’s Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally will be going ahead at Sandown Airport, PO36 0JP, from 26th – 30th August 2021.

We’ve been working very hard behind the scenes to bring you what we believe will be the best rally of the year at our brilliant new venue.

Now for the BORING BIT… before we all get too giddy, please remember that this rally will ultimately depend on, and be subject to, Government COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. The safety of our rally goers, staff, bands and Island residents is paramount and we WILL take every step to ensure that our rally is run in a safe manner. We will continue to closely monitor all Government updates and event industry practice and policies.

We will be releasing more details shortly but in the meantime, we have our first batch of earlybird tickets available.  Visit the VFM website

Ferry discount?

Red Funnel usually put an automatic discount on for scooters over the rally weekend. At the minute it’s not showing on their booking system but we’ll bring you details if things change. The current cost with them is £46 return for a scooter and two people from Southampton, or £54 with Wightlink from Portsmuth to Fishbourne.
