If you’re one of those commuters who sits in traffic everyday and curses how much of your life you’re wasting maybe this short film from Honda is worth a look.
Although the video isn’t specifically aimed at scooter riders (one rider is on a Honda PCX) the message is clear and applies to all riders. Ride to work if your job enables you to (not sensible if you’re a window cleaner), save time, stress and quite often lots of money plus be happier whilst you’re at it.
Top 10 benefits of commuting on two wheels
- Save time – lots of it
- Save money
- Door-to-door service
- Convenience
- Arrive on time every time
- No public transport
- No strikes to worry about
- Lots less stressful
- Free parking (in most places)
- A chance to unwind

So where was the Ad? I am guessing a social media site. But why don’t the MCIA advertise on TV?
The countrys roads are the most congested in Europe with millions sitting away their lives in traffic jams.
As I pass them on my scooter or my bike I can’t help smiling and asking myself why they don’t ditch their cars for two wheels, even if just for the daily commute? I come up with the same answer: most of the women (at least half of the traffic) don’t want to “ruin” their hair or makeup, and I think many blokes these days think the same!
And they value their comfort above their time. I’m sure if many tried it they’d wonder why they hadn’t tried it years ago.
