VIDEO | Ron Daley's new online parts system explained

 

As some scooter parts get rarer and cheapo Chinese/Indian remade parts get more prevalent it’s good to see some shops investing the time, energy and money into keeping stock of as many original (or quality remade) parts as possible.

 

Ron Daley Scooters claim to have the largest stock of Vespa PX and T5 parts in the country. It’s quite a big boast but they’ve not only got the parts but they’re making them much easier for the online shopper to choose and buy the exact part they require. They’ve spent months photographing and listing every part of a PX 125/150 and 200 (the T5 is soon to be finished as well) for their website. That’s not exactly earth-shattering news but have a look at the video above and you’ll see just how easy this new parts system is to use.

I’m sure most of you have seen the old hard to read, difficult to navigate and tricky to decipher microfiche pages used by shops of old? The antiquated system was cutting edge 25 years ago but things have moved on.

 

What the painstakingly put together Ron Daley system does is use actual photos in an exploded view (rather than line drawings/descriptions). This means if you’re looking for a small – or big – replacement part and you can’t explain where it’s from on the phone and you don’t know what it’s called you can simply log on to Ron Daley.
