Another piece of the ‘CP One35’ puzzle is in place. This is the ‘HD4’ – Heavy Duty 4-speed crankshaft, manufactured exclusively for Casa Performance in Italy. It’s a plug ‘n’ play crank for all smallframe Lambretta 4-speed Lui/Vega/Cometa 75cc and J125 Starstream engine casings.
Made to their design, these plug ‘n’ play cranks have forged webs, tungsten counter-weights, ‘H’ profile conrods, silvered bearing cages and are extremely high quality. Although they are race-spec and primarily designed to be used with the Casa Performance CP One35 135cc cylinder kits, they are also suitable for standard engines as well, which fills a void in the market as there are no mass-produced aftermarket cranks available for these models. The width of the webs of the ‘HD4’ cranks is 40mm and they are 48mm stroke.
These cranks will NOT fit 3-speed J50/Lui50/Cento/J125 engine casings, as these models require a narrower 36mm wide crankshaft. Specific ‘HD3’ cranks for these models are in production now and will be available in February/March 2020.
