Pinasco have released this new rear 8″ Vespa billet drum to complement the front drum they released earlier. The drum has been designed to be stronger and increase braking power for those older Vespa models – good news now that tuning parts are more readily available. The perimeter grooves in the surface of the drum and milling on the surface of the wheel reduce contact surface and help dissipate heat to the rim, which is one of the main causes of punctures.
It’s a modern solution to one of the weak areas on 8″ Vespas and any increase in safety and braking efficiency makes it well worth the asking price.
