Having somewhere to store an oil bottle and mixing jug in an accessible place on a scooter has been solved in various ways. For decades scooterists have bungeed oil to back racks, used fancy period oil carriers with authentic looking 60s bottles, under panel carriers and of course those often hideous faux leather spare wheel bags that flap around.
Universal
We wanted a neat, easy to use universal solution and came up with the SLUK Pocket. It’s suitable for both Vespa and Lambretta legshield spare wheel carriers. Not only does it look good but it works and makes filling up just that little bit quicker and easier. There are no straps to take off, no zip to unzip, no Velcro to pull apart and you don’t need to take a side panel off either. Simply splash and dash.
Made from textured ABS plastic the SLUK Pocket is easy to fit using the supplied extender bolts and nuts. It’s all explained in the video but it only takes a couple of minutes to fit to an existing spare wheel. If you’re fitting to a Vespa use the top two pre-drilled holes, for a Lambretta the bottom two holes are used. Expanding plastic blanking screws are also included in the kit.
What does it do?
Once fitted the SLUK Pocket is the perfect place to keep a litre of oil and your mixing bottle, or a few tools, sat nav, phone etc. Maybe a bunch of flowers or a morning latte? It’s neat, discreet and made to fit properly. It’s also quick and easy to remove using a 13mm spanner/socket so if you do need to use the spare wheel it’s no hassle.

Yes Ed, I went and checked a Vega wheel rim and you will be able to sit it in the ‘fat’ side of the wheel and attach with 2 bolts. If you want a specific one to drill yourself without the other bolt holes for Vespa then make a note on your purchase and we’ll see what we can organise.

Thanks for checking that, just realised that I’ve nearly made a school boy error as the ‘arm’ of the wheel holder clamp would get it the way of the holder sitting inside the rim. Doh!
Such a shame as Luna’s are so short of storage space anyway and something like this would have been ideal.
