Earlier this week the Piaggio Group announced a collaboration with (RED), a charity set up by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006. Piaggio will support the charities work against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria by donating $150 (USD) from the sale of each special (RED) Vespa sold around the world.

 

At the launch event in Rome a special (RED) Vespa 946 was shown and the final version will be showcased  at Eicma in Milan in November. The model will be on sale from December 2016. Piaggio CEO and MD, Roberto Colaninno said “The partnership with (RED), one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, represents another concrete commitment by Piaggio in this area.” He emphasised “We are happy and proud today to have been chosen by (RED) to represent the mobility sector as one of their partners. This will be a global collaboration between two organisations recognised all over the world as symbols of professionalism and excellence.”
