Ride out with a difference – Scooterists to pay scooter thieves parents a visit | NEWS

When a Gloustershire based scooterist had his Vespa PX stolen a week ago he appealed to both locals and scooterists to try and get it back. Thankfully it wasn’t too long before he managed to track the scooter down and get a name for one of the 20-year-old lads who stole it.

Show of strength

Once the thief realised this particular victim wasn’t happy to be fobbed off by the police with nothing more than a crime number they dumped the machine and it was subsequently recovered by the owner, albeit damaged. The owner, Steve Stuckle wasn’t going to take it lying down though and has arranged to get a few scooter riders together for a ‘Show of strength’ ride out to hand deliver an invoice for the repairs to the lad’s parents this coming Sunday.

Show of Strength ride out this Sunday

If you’d like to take part in a ride out to the home of a scooter thief to show your disapproval at his choice of ‘career’ you can join in with the ride this coming Sunday, 24th June.

The meeting place is at 10:30 am at Gloucester Quays, the ride will be leaving at 11 am and will be delivering an invoice for the damage to the lowlife’s parents.

Free stickers

We’ve sent down a load of our Riders Against Scooter Crime stickers to be handed out to those who attend.

If you’re in the area and are prepared to stand up and be counted it would be great to see lots of scooterists sticking together and standing up to these criminals. It’s about time we regained control and outed some of these scum bags.

SLUK Petition

We’re also running a SLUK petition to increase deterrents to try and stop the theft and use of scooters by criminals. You can sign that here.
