SIP has just reissued its line up of Classic, Performer and Performance scooter tyres. The tyres are available to suit most classic scooters and all come with a 150kph (93mph speed rating).
All three versions of the tyres are homologated for use as either tubeless or tubed tyres, meaning they can be used with split rims and an inner tube, or SIP’s own tubeless rims.
A modern scooter tyre has to overcome a few obstacles, it needs to last well, grip in both wet and dry conditions and last long enough to give good value for money. Plus it has to be able to handle more power than scooter tyres of the past. Modern tuning and development has pushed the boundaries of our machines to new levels.
