Cadwell Park brought a traumatic end to the BSSO championship which we’ll cover in depth later.
First the good news. Barrie Braithewaite of Team SLUK won the inaugural BSSO Production Class championship supported by the LCGB. He didn’t do it as he wanted, due to series leader Stephen ‘Hammy’ Hamilton putting himself out of action with a practice crash on Saturday. This left Barrie in a close-fought battle with James Lancaster for the title.
Racers and road scooterists alike took a lap of honour to recently departed James Campen and a slide-show was made in his honour.
The weekend was marred with several serious incidents on track. We would like to wish Hammy, Tom Russell and all those injured a speedy recovery.
