Today is the last day for the Cleethorpes competition, it ends tonight at 17.30pm and winners will be announced at 19.30pm. If you want to be in with a chance of winning a pair of AAA wristbands get your photo sent in today. We’ve got two pairs of wristbands up for grabs and they’ll go to the 2 people we judge to have sent in the best/funniest/most pathetic…
To enter just send a photo from a previous Cleethorpes rally and tell us a bit about it, or if you’ve never been to the rally before a photo from another rally or event will do. You can email them to: editorial@ScooterLab.UK
Here’s the entries so far:

Hi, I have seen the comp advertised and have sent a pic from our group of mates at last years rally. The picture was taken at Meridian Park. I’m the one without a shirt lol. Cleethorpes is one of my favourite rallies and we always end up with a load of us sat around tents having a party and playing drinking games on the Saturday. This is one rally I never miss. Looking forward to the weekend and seeing all the pics from this comp.
Regards Stuart Mitchell (Drinking games organiser)

Morrisons petrol station, just outside Cleethorpes. My mate’s just restored Lammy packs up so I attach a towrope and tow him the last three miles to the rally. The joys of scootering! I’ve been coming to this rally since 2005. Best rally out there…

Hi there, I’m part of Borderline Drifters S.C (Notts/derby) and we will be taking 25 members to the rally this weekend.
I/we would like to win the tickets because, on a par with Skeg, we regard Cleethorpes as the best rally we attend. We formed BDSC at this rally with 3 members of other clubs getting together and starting it two years ago and have grown into a 30 rider club (I think you’ll agree that 83% turn out this year is pretty impressive). Should we win the tickets, I would put the ticket values back into the pot for the registered rally charities. The photo shows some of us in the caps that we had done for all members that attended last year (please don’t zoom in too close to the names as some may offend lol.

#12 Paul Schram
Hi, attached is our photo of Cleethopres, I think it was 2014 when a local doctor couldn’t be found so Paul Schram managed to save Mark ‘Bagpuss’ Bence from bird flu. Cleethorpes was the founding place of the Ant and Aardvark Scooter Club so we are back for a reunion and if we get in free it’s a bonus! Top rally, always love it, a rally for scooterists.
Cheers Paul

#13 Jason Cleaver
Hi, I’d love to win tickets to this event because Terry is the guy pouring the beer in the photo and he’s just bought a Lambretta after 30 years away from the scene. He was desperate to go to a National rally so we decided Cleethorpes would be the best place to re-pop his cherry.
Cheers Jason

Boots n Scoots SC @ Cleethorpes 2015, aiming to bring back a touch of the 80s to modern day scootering. Quite simply, the best rally of the year for us. Brilliant site with everything either on there, or nearby. We also like the way local businesses go out of their way to make the weekend as good as it always is.

#15 Lee Inch
I would love to win tickets for this years Cleethorpes scooter rally. It’s my favourite rally of the year. I haven’t been able to attend the last 2 years. Last year I blew my engine on the way. The year before I was best man at my brother’s wedding. So I’m desperate to go this year, & I can’t wait for Friday
Here’s the entries from yesterday…

#1 Toni Sanders
I haven’t been to Cleethorpes scooter rally yet, so here is me, my partner and some of our friends at Bangers and Mash rally this year! I’d love to win the wristbands for Cleethorpes as it’s very local to me and it’s pretty much the only rally all our club members can do together and get into mischief, money is extremely tight this year so it would be perfect to win!
Socking it to the ladies…
#2 Phil Cassidy
The picture above was sent in by Phil Cassidy, although he’s not had much to say about his reasons for photographing al fresco naked men he told us “I’ve attached a pic I took of my mate Kenny from the Wildcards SC at the Cleethorpes rally 3 years ago. I’d love to win tickets as Cleethorpes is definitely the best rally of the season – great site, great atmosphere, loads of stuff to do. No other rally comes close in my opinion.”

#3 Stephen Moore
I would like to win tickets for Cleethorpes as it is one of the best rallies of the year with no cars, vans, campers etc. A proper old school scooter rally, I can’t wait, bring it on.

#4 Angie Kershaw
I would love to win free tickets to this years rally. Cleethorpes is one of the best rallies with a great campsite at Meridian Park, top facilities & plenty of stalls, plus a ride out. The Beachcomber is a great night but the free bus into town is fab. I love Studio, O%north (Gypsy Tears ), Barracudas & Fiddlers. It’s a shame O’Neill’s has closed this year, the picture is of me and a few friends in there. I can’t wait to catch up with them again this weekend…

#5 Richard Griffiths
This is me and my eldest daughter on a Cleethorpes rally about 16 or 17 years ago. Her and her mum followed us up there in the back up vehicle. She’s twenty now and still wants to be on a scoot. This was taken when I had a little more hair and my PX took me all over the country.
Cheers, Richard Griffiths
A pint too Farr?
#6 Corky Farr
Cleethorpes wore me out; I had such a fantastic time but couldn’t keep up with the pace of everyone else having such fun!

#7 Janet Hopkins
Not Cleethorpes ‘cos my bus didn’t turn up…

#8 Alan Kerr
Please choose me for the free tickets, I made the mistake of taking my daughter on a rally when she was 13 and now I have to take her everywhere so it costs me twice as much! Wouldn’t have it any other way though 😉 That’s her on the right at Cleethorpes 2014.
What if I don’t win?
Contrary to rumours circulating on social media, you can still simply turn up at Cleethorpes and pay on the gate to camp at Meridian Park. It’s £15 to everybody on a scooter, £20 all others. Remember it’s scooter only on the campsite so don’t turn up expecting to park your motor home/van/car/bus…
If you’re not camping you can just pay on the door at the official evening dos at the Beachcomber Campsite (£5 per night, 8pm-2am). So if you’re not lucky enough to win the competition you can just pay when you arrive.
Day passes £2
Entry to the custom show/dealers market on Saturday costs just £2 and is open 10am-4pm
