I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because I would like to purchase a Lambretta related garden bench from that very nice man in the stock car stadium.

Photo taken somewhere in France or Belgium in 2007 on the way to the Dirty Weekender rally. Vulcan SC and English Rose SC. This photo pretty much sums up European rallies for me, sunshine, breakdowns, luggage in bin liners, a slightly deranged Belgian, men in their pants and scooters. Note Gerry in the background returning with two cases of Jupiler for some much needed refreshment.

I would like to win tickets for the IOW because I’ve not been for a few years and feel that it’s time to make a return visit!

Here’s a picture of me with fellow Ripley Harriers on my PX 125 in 1982. I had a break in the 90s and have had another break for university over the last 2 years. But after 34 years, I’m still living the dream! I’ve just bought a 4T LML because apparently they’re the future; riding it to the IOW would be a good way to test it out!

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because it would be the only thing that could make my favourite rally any better.

Isle of Wight 1984, my first on a scooter with various mates from the Bristol area. The two of us on the left (Paul and Chalky) will be there again this year. The policeman (Ted) lives in Germany now and still rides scooters as does his German wife. Mark to the right of the copper still rides and I will be meeting up with him at Woolacoombe. Not bad, four out of seven of us still into the scene. This photo was featured on the front of the Isle Of Wight paper, the photographer promised us some copies and came up trumps. I have this framed now and every time I look at it it takes me back to my youth and I realise I never grew up. Keep The Faith.

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because…Well I’d like to say it’s to honour my sick grandma who rode a scooter all around europe with nothing but an Everoak crash helmet for company in the ’50s, but the truth is I haven’t got a sick grandma, and even if I did she didn’t ride a scoot! Actually I just like winning stuff.

I took the pic over on the IOW in 1981, the first time I went. Sadly I have no idea who the scoot belonged to.

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because although I’ve been going for many years , I’ll continue to go for many more as its one of the few places where you’ll find all your old friends in one place!

This photo was taken of my Eibar Li230 Lambretta at Paddy’s Sun Run this year. I went with my wife Jane (Vespa 150 Super) and good friends new and old from Junction 13, Medway SC & Company C. We all had a ball and afterwards Jane and I carried on to Spain. I had to question myself why I hadn’t done that engine rebuild before we’d set off, as I lost the skirt of the piston just outside Bilbao! Fortunately a couple of hours work (and a spare piston I carry) had us back on the road marking the end of a great holiday!

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because last year was my first ever Isle of Wight rally and I would love to do it again. Also it’s a chance to meet all my friends from last year which I have been dying to meet again! It’s also my birthday on the 16th so would be the perfect Birthday present!

This photo is of me and my friend Pete from last years IOW on our booze run. Riding in a trolley always means safety first!!

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because times are hard when you live on fish paste sandwiches, cobs and whatever…

This pic is of my grandson Shay Allen on his Vespa GTS wannabe, picking up punters choice at Bradford discharge rally last year, where raffle prizes were auctioned off to raise money for a kids ward charity. Not a dry eye in the house, all the scenes loons with lumps in their throats and tears in their eyes. An awesome day and it made me so proud to be part of it.

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because it’s my favourite rally. It’s not been a good year, (losing my job) so I can’t afford the tickets and my second family from around the country would miss me.

This photo is of my son Sam Laws, Blue & Gold SC, Kings Lynn. This picture just sums up our group of scooterists, nutty and bundles of fun, this was at Shed, Peterborough a few years back.

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because I’m going and have a hotel room but would love to give the tickets away to the first person I see riding a scooter on the way there.

Photo is from the 1st Meltdown rally February 2013 in Germany, the 1st rally outing for my Winter model after being resurrected. The long cold windy ride didn’t stop us riding back again in 2014. The GP is Nigel’s, he had it painted like that for his 31st birthday which was 29 years ago!

I want to win tickets to this years Isle of Wight International Scooter Rally because it’s when we meet up with all our best friends from around the country that we don’t see often at all, but it’s like we’ve never been apart when we’re together! Plus it’s James’ birthday on the 16th when the draw takes place.

This photo is of me, my boyfriend James, and our scooter club on the Isle of Wight ride out last year after losing our club mascot Taffy Duck!
