We brought you news about some trick new pre-preg carbon fibre Lambretta parts from 21st Century Lambretta a while ago. Since then the man behind them, John Williams has been busy making some even tastier goodies for Series 1 & 2 models. The photo above shows just a few items from his growing parts list.
To give you an idea of the weight saving, John says everything in the photo above (rear runners, toolbox door, bridge piece, air scoop, petrol flap and number plate surround) weigh in at under 840 grammes. Just one original steel rear runner weighs 1200 grammes. Not only that but the quality of these parts is outstanding and the parts we\’ve tried at ScooterLab fit perfectly.
Standard fit parts are available but John also adapts things to suit the customer. If you need a cutout for the kickstart that can be done by John and a toolbox door with cutout for an inline spare wheel costs an extra fiver. The runners are pre-drilled but need slotting, for a perfect fit. 21st Century Lambretta can be found on Facebook. Individually the kit (top) costs £450 but if you buy them together they\’re £415 (delivered to mainland UK).
