Peugeot Scooters
Here are some of the Peugeot Scooters highlights but most of the existing range has had some attention lavished upon them for 2017.

New Metropolis RX-R
Now comes with the latest Euro4 400cc PowerMotion LFE (Low Friction Energy) engine, 13” front wheels, ABS braking, traction control, improved chassis and suspension, daytime running lights, new instruments and the latest generation Peugeot rear boot. The RX-R will be available in January and come initially in black with red detailing, aluminium floor strips and a sports screen. Standard and RS versions will follow.

Belville
The 125/200cc Belville is new for summer 2017 and complements the existing Peugeot Tweet. The Belville is liquid-cooled and features the 125cc SmartMotion or 200cc EasyMotion engine (Euro4) and comes with a top box as standard.

GenZe
Born from a collaboration with the Mahindra Group and a subsidiary in the USA the Generation Zero Emission – GenZe is a new e-mobility solution. It features a removable battery with four hour charge time and can be tracked in real time making it ideal for fleet use, or for added security.

Speedfight
The Speedfight celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and to celebrate a special ‘Edition 20’ model will be available with two-tone satin silver and flat red paintwork, alloy floor, chrome bar ends and Smartphone support. It’s available from December and there will only be 500.

The new 125cc Speedfight 4 is the first Peugeot to feature the new economical Euro4 SmartMotion engine. It also comes with SBC – Synchro Braking Concept to distribute the braking forces evenly. Suspension has also been revised. Available spring 2017.
StreetZone

The funky StreetZone gets a makeover with stylish colours, naked bars and inverted forks it’s a good looking little scooter. Available in the first quarter of 2017.
Kymco
This pretty little thing (no not that one) is the new Kymco AK 550, it’s a twin-cylinder maxi scooter with more than a passing resemblance to the previous Yamaha TMAX, it looks the part and boasts 50/50 weight distribution for motorcycle like handling. We’ll be looking forward to getting our leg over one soon.

Suzuki


The Suzuki Burgman 400 gets a major makeover for 2017, new styling, less weight, better security, LED lighting and a new 15″ wheel are amongst the highlights.
Vespa


See our other post below for Vespa GTS news but notice anything different about this Primavera? Ok it looks nice and shiny but it’s also an electric Vespa, ‘Vespa Elettrica’ more news on this one later but it’s expected to be released in the second half of 2017…

Vespa 946 Red, as revealed by us in June, the AIDS charity RED special edition 946 will be available soon.

Honda
Honda showcased their new X-ADV scooter last night, the 750cc machine finally becomes reality after initially starting out as a concept two years ago. The X-ADV features Honda’s excellent DCT – Dual Clutch Transmission amongst other innovations. We’ll be bringing you the full details later.
