This weekend sees the last two major scooter events of the year and it’s surprisingly mild, which is just as well for any of us riding to the seaside. Although the temperature is set to drop over the weekend so wrap up warm and take it easy.
VFM The Great Eastern – Mablethorpe
Firstly, on the North East coast, we have VFM with ‘The Great Eastern’ at Mablethorpe, a traditional seaside town with a self-contained caravan site. Three nights of entertainment and a great pub crawl around the 1960s holiday resort. Live bands include The Kings of Outerspace, and The Style Councillers, with support from Smiths Utd and The Originators. If you’re looking for an impromptu weekend away you might just get lucky if you phone the campsite (number is on the flyer), or have a ride over for the day. A day pass will set you back just £5.
SWSC Warmwell Winter Rally
The second event is another firm fixture on the calendar. Warmwell is put on by the South West Scooter Clubs in Weymouth and is also a three-night event, set on a holiday park. Headlining this year are The Mighty Shrimp and The GT. The weekend will finish off in true South West stylee with an SWSC party night on Sunday.
If you fancy something a bit different whilst you’re there you can always have a go on the dry ski slope.
We’ll be out and about covering both events so we’ll either see you on the road or at the bar…

Warmwell for me leaving 9am in the morning 3 hardy riders(no car clubbers with us) via A429 i think anyway it goes past Swindon.
