Sad news reaches us this afternoon. Weston based Lambretta parts manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer, Scootopia has suffered a major fire today. A spokesman for the company told us the fire has affected the shop, factory and a Jeep company on the Oakwood Business Park but is now under control. See local news story here.

News from the scene: Although it appears half of Scootopia’s factory unit has been engulfed by the flames the windows are still in place in the actual shop itself and Scootopia owner, Dean thinks that it will be salvageable. Scootopia also has another separate shop unit, so if needs must they’ll use that temporarily once they begin the clear up operation tomorrow. We’ll keep you up to date with the latest news and details on existing orders at the shop as soon as we can.
