I hope you all had a great Bank Holiday, even if it was a little different to our normal Easter weekends. Having never been at home since I was 17, I discovered something new. Apparently, we have children and the kids like to get chocolate eggs on the Easter Sunday (even though the youngest is 24 years old).
Firstly I’d like to thank you all for getting into the spirit of ‘I can’t believe it’s not Whitby.’ It was only done for a laugh and to bring some kind of normality to a difficult situation but people really got into it. Camping out in their gardens (and living rooms), throwing parties at home for themselves and the people they live with, buying the collectable ‘Whitby Cancelled’ rally patches and enjoying the DJ spots from Scooterist Radio and Matt Howarth’s epic solo slot in the Prodigy Collective alternative room. Matt ended up DJing for around 8 hours alone on Saturday and was visibly loving every minute. VFM’s Steve Foster even dusted off his decks for a live set from his garage. Thanks to everybody who played a part, or listened in.
As custom shows go, the Not Whitby show was also pretty epic, we had 130 entrants in total (you can see them all here). Thanks to everybody who took the time to enter their pride and joy, and to everybody who voted for their favourites. There were some real crackers on show but it’s the votes that count.
We didn’t bother making virtual trophies for the show but we did get some real prizes for the top three (as voted by the public.
First place
In first place with 128 votes is Elizabeth James’ Targa Twin, a tidy but well-used rally going GP. Elizabeth wins a £50 voucher to use on Lambretta parts at Scooter Center, a £25 voucher for Lexham Insurance and a ScooterLab t-shirt.

Second place goes to Sandra Connelly for this gorgeous 1974 Vespa 50 Special. Sandra wins a £50 SLUK Shop voucher (voucher can be used for anything from our shop) and a ScooterLab t-shirt.

Third prize goes to Gary Wickham for his stunning ‘Breaking rocks in the hot sun’. Gary gets himself a £25 Lexham Insurance voucher and a ScooterLab t-shirt. Luckily for him, Lexham provide agreed value insurance for custom scooters as well.
Gary received 108 votes.
