The funeral of popular group four Lambretta (and Scomadi) racer, James Campen will take place at 10.30am on Friday 30th September at Kettering Crematorium. The cortege will leave from Jack Warwick’s Funeral Directors at 10am, everybody is welcome to attend the service and the wake afterwards (details of the wake are still to be finalised).
Cadwell lap of honour
The final round of the BSSO Championships takes place this weekend, 24th-25th September at Cadwell Park and a commemorative BSSO racers ‘James Campen lap of honour’ will be taking place on Saturday lunchtime. Charlie Edmonds and longtime friend of James, Phil York are currently rebuilding James’ familiar group four Lambretta for Charlie to ride in the parade. Joe Ravenscroft will also be riding the Yamaha R1 that James used to perfect his track craft and there will also be a few surprise riders out on the track.
