We’ve been hearing rumours about this one all year and it’s finally been unveiled. The new Piaggio One is a lightweight electric scooter built to appeal to the Tok Tok generation, in fact, it’ll be getting a debut on the social media platform on May 28th. Before that though we can have a quick look at the main features and details.
ONE is unmistakably very much like the Piaggio Zip in size and design but of course, we’re now into the 21st century and the tech has moved on to electric power. The ONE will be available in several different power formats (to suit both moped and motorcycle licencing requirements) and have different range options.

The scooter has a removable battery for in-home/office charging and thanks to the battery position there’s still handy storage space beneath the seat. Features include a full-colour dash, LED lights, disc brakes and keyless ignition.

Unveiled later this week at the Bejing Motor Show the scooter will be available in Europe from the end of June. We’ve not got a UK price for it yet but we’ll keep you up to date once more details are announced. The press release states “Style, eco-sustainability with its zero emissions, lightweight, brilliant performance, the Piaggio ONE has everything to delight the youngest generations.” If it’s priced well this should certainly appeal to the savvy youngster or commuter and Piaggio may well have an electric scooter that appeals to a wider cross-section of riders than their Elettrica..
