2019 is likely to be the year of the Luna line. Casa Performance are busy reinventing every internal part to make them go faster and be more reliable and we’ve been busy developing a new screen to look cool and be practical. The screens arrived late last week and our first customer, Tony Bryant fitted this one to his scooter (as modelled by his friend).
Made in England
As with all of our SLUK Plastics, these screens are designed by us and made in England using traditional techniques. The Lui screens are different to most of our SLUK Plastics though. These ones are made from 6mm tinted Perspex and are formed using a draping technique (rather than our usual vacuum forming). The Perspex is warmed up and draped over the bronzed thighs of a curvy lady from Leicestershire to achieve the perfect shape to complement the lines of Innocenti’s groovy classic. The screens are finished with laser-cut edges and stainless steel brackets, simply bolt it on to your trellis handlebars and jobs a good ‘un.
After fitting his at the weekend we asked Tony Bryant if it was easy enough to fit and what he thought of it:
Yes excellent no issues at all, very simple job to fit and the consensus here is it looks great!
