Four stroke tuning
Malossi showcased a blinged up Malossi kitted and colour coded Vespa Sprint in Milan to show off their growing list of tuning parts, brakes and suspension for the modern 3V/iGet four-stroke models. Malossi make various four-stroke parts including exhausts, cylinder kits, clutches, upgraded belts and electronics. It’s a growing market for sure. Aside from the usual models we think about tuning, Malossi are already on the ball with transmission parts for the forthcoming Kymco AK550 (yet to arrive in the UK but already available overseas) and many other models.
Two stroke
The history of Malossi and much of their new and existing parts catalogue is based firmly on our beloved two-strokes though. With gearboxes, exhausts, crankshafts and much more besides still being developed for our existing classic scooters. Hot off the design board and announced this week at Eicma in Milan are some exciting new products including their new 177cc and 187cc MHR cylinder kits for the Vespa PX. The kits are manufactured from aluminium and feature a bridged exhaust port, single ring piston, and centering dowels for perfect head alignment. The 177cc cylinder utilises a standard stroke crankshaft while the 187cc will require an upgrade to a 60mm stroke crank. The new kits are due to be released very soon and will be available from VE (UK) as soon as they are available.
