Swiss company, Quadro have unveiled an electric version of their Qooder four-wheeled scooter during the Geneva Motor Show. The EQOODER was developed by Quadro but uses the powertrain from the well respected Californian company, Zero Motorcycles. The EQooder will be built in Europe and Asia and is said to be a powerful (45 kW and 110 Nm of torque) and sporty vehicle.
The eQooder is set for release in December 2019, you can put a €5000 deposit down now. It will also be available to “Charge and ride’ for €250 per month if you’d prefer not to actually buy one. If you can’t wait until December you can rent the 400cc petrol-powered Qooder for 12 months at €190 per month.
Paolo Gagliardo, CEO of the Swiss company said:
“Thanks to its speed, power and the all-inclusive ‘charge and ride’ rate of € 250 per month, eQooder has the ambition of making the ZEV (Zero Emissions Vehicles) world accessible to everyone commuting in metropolitan areas”. He also states: “eQooder intends to dispel the common fears and anxieties users have related to electric vehicles use, like battery autonomy, charging speed and price, offering an accessible and affordable product suitable to everyone. “
The motor is three times more powerful than the conventional Qooder and performance is said to be equal to a 650cc. It features dual rear traction control, a reverse gear, 50/50 weight distribution and the excellent Quadro HTS Hydraulic Tilting System – which acts as an independent suspension system on each of the four wheels. The tilting scooter is fast, agile and great fun to ride but has the added safety aspect of those extra wheels.
Qooder “Tailor-made” customisation
Consumers will be able to customise their Qooder using 800 combinations of finish, colour, wheels, accessories etc.

Drive on a car licence?
The Qooder can be driven on either a full car or bike licence.
A recent survey found that 60% of existing Qooder owner’s are from an automotive background 940% from two wheels) and 90% use their Qooder for commuting and weekend trips away.
